Paso del hombre hacia el jardín

Paso del hombre hacia el jardín

Paso del hombre hacia el jardín, by Gonzalo Córdova.

In the countryside everything is outside,
and a slow silence of water within water.
A bird wounded by a bullet
no longer flies, it no longer flies.
All the earth waits,
those opposite rarely — and on this side, the moon.

In the rain, the footprint clings to the boots,
and tears dry.
And the man searches for direction
within the resembling water.
One walks only downward,
as if following a dream,
without the sea waiting for us.
